The Script, one of the most beloved Irish pop-rock bands of the past two decades, is coming to Timișoara for the first time and will perform a concert on I.C. Brătianu Boulevard on Saturday, August 1, 2026. With hits such as “Hall of Fame,” “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved,” “Breakeven,” “Nothing,” and “Superheroes,” the band from Dublin, Ireland, has won over audiences around the world and racked up billions of streams on online streaming platforms. Known for the extraordinary energy of their live concerts and the special connection they create with the audience every time, The Script promises one of the most memorable concerts of the 2026 edition of the Timișoara City Celebration event.
“Timișoara City Celebration is now one of the most important cultural projects developed in the spirit of the Timișoara 2023 program’s legacy. This year’s theme, ‘Diversity,’ reflects both the city’s identity and the way we are shaping this event: through collaboration among festivals, cultural organizations, Romanian and international artists, communities, and independent initiatives. We want to offer the public an event that captures the complexity and creative energy of contemporary Timișoara.”
The 2026 edition of the Timișoara City Celebration event will take place from July 31 to August 3. The theme of this edition, “Diversity,” invites participants to celebrate the communities, urban experiences, and perspectives that define Timișoara’s identity. Under the central message “One city. A thousand ways to experience it. Diversity,” the event offers a varied program that brings together music, heritage, gastronomy, art, sports, urban experiences, and creative communities, transforming the city into a celebration open to all. This year’s program will bring together Romanian and international artists, Timișoara-based festivals and event producers, cultural operators, independent initiatives, and hundreds of urban experiences that will take place at the main venue (Civic Park, I.C. Brătianu Park, and I.C. Brătianu Boulevard) and at dozens of other locations throughout the city.
