Guilty Corner transforms Civic Park into a gathering place for communities and musical cultures

Guilty Pressure Soundsystem is bringing three evenings of DJ sets dedicated to electronic music, soundsystem culture, and the communities that contribute to the development of the alternative scene to Timișoara City Celebration 2026.

The Guilty Corner stage in Civic Park becomes an open space for music, gatherings, and the exchange of ideas. The program draws inspiration from Jamaican culture, where “the corner” is the informal place where the community meets, socializes, listens to music, and builds relationships.

Each evening features a distinct soundscape:

Friday, July 31: “Guilty Corner x Matriarchy Takeover”—Breaks and drum & bass with Maică-ta and Jinxy. Matriarchy promotes the visibility and representation of female DJs and helps build a more balanced and open music scene.

Saturday, August 1: “Guilty Corner x Girls Takeover” Disco and Italo-disco with Mini Zucchini and Mitsubitchi, in an evening that spans new beat, electro, synth, EBM, and post-punk sounds.

Sunday, August 2: “Guilty Corner x Soundsystem Takeover”—Dub and reggae with Munchiekilla, Jon Jitsu, Mighty Boogie, and ZO, artists and vinyl collectors whose sets explore roots reggae, dub, jungle, hip-hop, UK garage, and drum & bass.

Guilty Pressure Soundsystem is a crew of artists and sound engineers from Timișoara that aims to breathe new life into the local dub music scene. As part of Timișoara Day, the concept transcends the boundaries of a single musical genre and becomes a space where different rhythms, communities, and experiences come together.

Between July 31 and August 3, 2026, Timișoara City Celebration transforms the city into a grand celebration of community, culture, and urban experiences. The central message of this edition— “One city. A thousand ways to experience it. Diversity.” — invites the public to discover Timișoara through different perspectives, communities, and experiences. Admission to the events on the program is free.
