The event is built around fanzines, an affordable, friendly, and creative way to explore and share practices and ideas that come from social, political, and personal experiences.

The event includes:

  • The launch of the latest edition of ARTSENS no. 11, focusing on the topic of violence against women, including the works of Dan Perjovschi alongside international artists Cathy Burghi, Gloria Luca, Sorina Tomulețiu, Eirini, Zara Alexandrova, Ana Kun, Alina Andrei, Simona Vilău, Oana Coșug, Ioana Ciolea, Mimi, Cătălina Nistor - contributions from young women, as well as an extended dialogue with the Romanian organization fighting for gender equality and women's safety, ALEG.
  • A relaxed and open discussion about the specifics, role, and impact of publications of this type, led by Simona Constantin (Contrasens, editor of ARTSENS 11) Alessandra Domuța and Simona Ionescu (SPICC representatives)
  • A practical workshop on creating fanzines, coordinated by SPICC, as well as an exploration of the ARTSENS 11 edition, with the addition of spaces open to contributions from readers.

We have designed an accessible and convivial event in the form of a community picnic to create a relaxed atmosphere open to discussion with the participants. In addition to the scheduled activities, the picnic will include a stand created by SPICC as part of the Continuum Feminin II project and a Contrasens stand as part of the ON HER SIDE project, as well as opportunities for socialising. Through this event, we want to create an authentic meeting between women, facilitating connection, information, and mutual support. It is a collaboration between the Contrasens Cultural Association and SPICC, for which we are planning a joint program in future projects.

It's a meeting about solidarity, creation and trusting your voice. Let's discover, talk and support together.
