In Fabric, Timișoara’s former industrial district, Badea Cârțan Market brings together local residents, producers, and people whose stories, trades, and traditions have shaped the neighbourhood’s identity. During the event, designer Alina Turdean will collect stories, recipes, objects, and products that speak to the memory of the market and the experiences of those who bring it to life every day. Through conversations with vendors and producers, the gathering explores how food circulates, creates connections, and links production, distribution, and everyday life in Fabric. The collected materials will form a living archive of the market and its surrounding community.

FABER is an independent cultural center founded by a group of Timișoara-based entrepreneurs from the fields of architecture, IT, and the socio-cultural sector. Their belief in Timișoara’s potential and their desire to contribute to the strengthening of the city's creative industry brought them together in 2017, when they decided to purchase an industrial hall within the AZUR complex and transform it into the FABER building.
