We invite you to discover this year's rich harvest of FILMS FROM BANAT of Ceau, Cinema! Film Festival. This includes a selection of 7 short films (documentary, fiction, animation, experimental), made by Banat filmmakers or filmed in Banat:

Pelicula Culturală Association began its activity in 2012 by organizing film screenings in various cultural and architecturally significant spaces in Timişoara, as an alternative to the lack of a cinema to host European film. Pelicula Culturală is dedicated to the cause of European film, implementing various cultural and educational projects during its 14 years of activity, the most important of which is the Ceau, Cinema! Film Festival, which reached its 13th edition in 2026, and which was co-founded and co-organized together with the Marele Ecran Association.
Also, the Cultural Film Association has been lobbying since 2015 for the establishment of an art cinema in the city, and since 2018 it has been actively involved in the project to renovate the Studio Cinema and transform it into an art cinema, together with the Timișoara City Hall, the French Institute of Timișoara, the Big Screen Association, the Documentor Association, the Romanian Independent Film Association (TIMISHORT), with the support of Groupama Asigurări.
In 2023, Pelicula Culturală Association won a project within the European Echoes call, financed by the Project Center, which added the Ceau, Cinema! Film Festival to the official Timișoara European Capital of Culture 2023 program.
Starting in 2025, Pelicula Culturală organizes a regular film club at Cinema Studio, presenting monthly retrospectives in spring and autumn and thus offering a curated film program throughout the year.
