Women in Music Romania arrives this year for the first time in Timișoara and in partnership with Muzicon presents a series of concerts and DJ sets by well-known artists of the music scene and a series of conferences about the present and future of the Romanian music industry. Artists, music professionals, cultural entrepreneurs will meet the general public in I.C. Brătianu Park, on August 2 and 3, 2025, on the Muzicon and Women in Music stage.
The common theme of the events is the need for an equitable, collaborative and sustainable music industry. The discussions will focus on specific development directions and current challenges, and the artistic selection reflects the diversity of female voices active in Romanian music today.
On August 2, the program includes concerts by Andra Andriucă and The Strizzers. The afternoon is dedicated to a panel on turning forgotten spaces into cultural scenes, moderated by Anderka Iancea. Andreea Jäger Tako (Plai Cultural Center), Bogdan Cotirta and Bogdan Crișan take part in the discussion. A second panel, moderated by Carina Sava, addresses the topic of sustainability in music and features Carina Dumitru (Phaser), Ramona Laczko David (Project Center) and Iulia Pop (Overground Music).
August 3 features concerts by ILINCA and Mădălina Pavăl. The evening opens with a discussion on storytelling in the music industry, moderated by Roxana Morun (TVR), with the participation of Corina Vilcu (Global Records), Dorina Constantin (manager Dmitri's Bats) and ILINCA. The last panel brings up the challenges of the independent scene and is moderated by Oltea Zambori. Delia Luchian, Victor Balaniuc (Codru Festival), Carina Dumitru (Phaser) and Vlad Garboni (Flight Festival) will be among the speakers, and each evening will end with live DJ sets by Mini Zucchini and _Border.

Women in Music Romania is a national platform that supports the affirmation and visibility of women in the music industry, both artistically and in the fields of management, education, production and cultural entrepreneurship. The initiative develops mentoring programs, creates professional learning contexts and builds a support network among women active in music. Women in Music Romania operates as a space for resources, exchange of ideas and open dialog, with the aim of contributing to a deep and lasting transformation in the current cultural landscape.
