"Timișoara City Celebration" will begin on Friday, August 1, 2025, and until Sunday, August 3, it will offer over 180 events of various categories at the main location: Civic Park, I.C. Brătianu Park and Boulevard, as well as in over 35 other locations throughout the city: from pop, rock, jazz, and punk concerts to jazz, electronic music, theater performances, folk shows, sporting events, exhibitions, installations and performances, spoken word shows, silent disco parties, competitions, workshops, or guided tours.

The main venue for the event will be Civic Park, I. C. Brătianu Park and Boulevard in the city center, covering an area of over 20,000 square meters. In order to ensure optimal safety and accessibility, special public order measures and temporary traffic restrictions have been put in place in collaboration with the competent authorities. These measures mainly concern the central area of the city, as follows:

Traffic restrictions on I.C. Brătianu Boulevard:

  • July 26 (10:00 a.m.) – July 28 (7:00 a.m.) and August 5 (9:30 p.m.) – August 6 (4:00 p.m.): the first lane in each direction will be closed between Piața Iancu Huniade and Strada Michelangelo.
  • July 28 (7:00 a.m.) – August 5 (9:30 p.m.): Road traffic is completely closed on the section between Piața Iancu Huniade – Str. Michelangelo – Str. Patriarh Miron Cristea (except for residents).

Daily closures (1–3 August, 4 p.m.–midnight):

  • Traffic will be closed daily on August 1, 2, and 3, between 4:00 p.m. and midnight, on the following streets: Patriarh Miron Cristea, 20 Decembrie 1989, Mihai Eminescu, and Carol Telbisz.
  • Lane 1 on 20 Decembrie 1989 Street will be reserved for taxis/Uber/Bolt.

Parking reservations:

  • I.C. Brătianu Boulevard (section between Iancu Huniade Square and Michelangelo): both directions, between July 28 (7:00 a.m.) and August 6 (4:00 p.m.).
  • Carol Telbisz Street: 45 places reserved during the same period.
  • Public parking lot in Piața Iancu Huniade: 1 spot for coaches (July 28–August 3, 10:00 p.m.).
  • Modex parking lot (Iancu Huniade Square): 30 reserved spaces on August 1, 2, and 3 (4:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m.).

Access permitted in restricted area:

  • For vehicles intended for freight transport, stage equipment, and food trucks, based on HCL 649/2022 and OUG 195/2002.
  • Access is only permitted with the approval of the Traffic Police and prior notification of the Mobility and Transport Department of the City Hall.

Permanent access permitted: For residents and vehicles on duty (police, ambulance, fire department, SMURD).

Information on public transport

Lines 1, 2, 4, 5, 11, 14, 16, 18, E3, E7, 33, and 40 will operate with extended hours until 1:00 a.m. during the three days of the event. Between July 26 and August 6, 2025, public transportation running on B-dul I.C. Brătianu will be rerouted. 

Safety measures and medical assistance

At the main event location, at the intersection of I.C. Brătianu Boulevard and Carol Telbisz Street, a first aid station and two hydration areas will be set up, equipped with dispensers and constantly supplied with drinking water, available throughout the three days of the event. At the same time, additional first aid stations with specialized medical personnel will be set up in Civic Park and in the extended area of I.C. Brătianu Boulevard, with the following operating hours:

  • August 1, 2025, between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.
  • August 2, 2025, between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.
  • August 3, 2025, between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.

For the safety of participants, during periods of high public influx, ambulances equipped with medical personnel will be stationed near the main stage and other activities taking place on I.C. Brătianu Boulevard, ready to intervene in case of emergency.
