From rave and jazz to rock, spoken-word and DJ sets, live sets and silent disco parties to debates and workshops, between August 1-3, 2025, Timișoara reconfirms its status as a cultural center in the west of the country and in the region with the Timișoara City Celebration - an authentic expression of the artistic effervescence triggered in 2023, the year in which the city was European Capital of Culture. Under the theme "Celebrating the City Together", this edition brings together the local community and creative energy in a lively and open dialog.

Anonim TM, a pillar of Timisoara's alternative culture, brings the underground spirit to the heart of the city. Spanning more than two decades, Anonim TM has shaped the local electronic scene through events like 48h, promoting creativity and artistic autonomy. Also, Codru Festival - recognized for its ecological and social dimension - returns with a program dedicated to young people and families, featuring activities such as oversized games, DJ workshops, and a series of concerts by artists such as Mihai Gabriel, Saddu, Max Rein, Stefano, Denis Predoi and others.

The Embargo Hub presents the Banat Rave concept, an extension of the Balkan electronic scene that brings to Timișoara artists such as Cvrge and Drvo Truo (Serbia), in a program complemented by local DJs. In concomitance, the Flight Festival offers a special sensory experience with three evenings of Silent Disco running from 18:30 to 22:00, with three simultaneous music channels. The line-up includes artists such as Bibanchy, Dalla, Alexsen, Mighty Boogie, DJ OZ, KuKy, Ist, B Mike and DJ Sniper.

The Psihodrom x ABC project combines live music and DJ sets in an eclectic and challenging format. Artists such as Request Line, Bob Ramanka, d:ffkt, selfmademusic, We Are Creepz and the trio Lemarian / 150 Stoka / Bürger will take to the stage, while Elisabeta, Alexis Boverik, Herk, Cumnat Vitreg and Tzuk will bring danceable energy to the city's spaces.

One of the most extensive approaches comes from Muzicon & Women in Music Romania, which offers both live concerts and panels dedicated to the creative industries. On August 2, the public is invited to two live concerts by Andra Andriucă and Mădălina Pavăl, followed by relevant discussions about transforming forgotten spaces into cultural scenes (moderated by Anderka Iancea, with speakers such as Andreea Jäger Tako - Plai Cultural Center, Bogdan Cotirta and Bogdan Crișan), as well as about building sustainability in music (moderated by Carina Sava, with guests such as Carina Dumitru - Phaser, Ramona Laczko David - Project Center and Iulia Pop - Overground Music). On August 3, the audience will listen live to ILINCA and The Strizzers, and will be able to participate in discussions about storytelling in the music industry, moderated by Roxana Morun (TVR), with speakers such as Corina Vilcu (Global Records), Dorina Constantin (manager of Dmitri's Bats) and the artist Ilinca. The day will end with a debate on the challenges of the independent scene, moderated by Oltea Zambori, with Delia Luchian, Victor Balaniuc (Codru Festival), Carina Dumitru - Phaser and Vlad Garboni (Flight Festival).

In the mornings of the festival, the project Strada Fără Nume brings a dose of spoken words and improvised jazz, with the meeting between Giga Jazz Machine 3000 (Bucharest) and Dumitru Fanfarov (August 2) and Giga Jazz Machine 3000 and KASHY (August 3). On the other side of the artistic spectrum, Simultan, the platform dedicated to sound and visual art, brings a performance by Dutch artist Toktek, along with interactive workshops by Sillyconductor on August 2 and 3.

The Launmomentdat in the park platform offers a relaxed daytime experience with DJ sets featuring locally relevant names such as Mi-tzu, Who:Ratio, Jon Jitsu, DJ Zo, Munchiekilla, Bia, Maica-ta, Mini Zucchini and Guilty Pressure Soundsystem.

Jazz has a special place in this year's program. Jazz Updates brings diversity and sophistication with DJ Angel, Zsolt Bende Trio (HU), Opening Theory (Bucharest), Drumbooty (Serbia) and TM Sesh, in a program that pulsates between international influences and contemporary local sounds.

Last but not least, Time to Rock - FITT, the platform that promotes the rock and metal scene in Timișoara and Romania, brings to the spotlight established artists such as Dora Gaitanovici, E-AN-NA, Dordeduh, Haos, Sleepin' Insomnia and Sonatic, alongside three emerging bands selected by public call, to be announced soon.

The musical program is completed by the presence of the Timișoara Jazz Festival, with a special appearance, as a preview on Timișoara City Celebration, of the international duo formed by pianist Shuteen Erdenebaatar (Mongolia) and bassist Nils Kugelmann (Germany), who will offer a contemporary jazz concert of high quality at the Church of St. Ecaterina Cetate Timișoara, Bolyai János Street no. 4 - this is also the only event of the local music scene that will take place indoors and for which the seats will be limited by the capacity of the venue.

All events in the main venue (Civic Park, Park and I.C. Brătianu Boulevard) are free entry and are designed to bridge communities, generations and musical styles. For three days, Timișoara will celebrate local creativity and European connections, offering a festival of the whole community for all those who choose to feel and discover the city's free spirit.
