Have you worked in a chemical factory? Or maybe you grew up hearing stories about those who did?
We are looking for memories, photos, objects and testimonies that keep alive the memory of an essential chapter in Timisoara's history - the chemical industry. Between August 1 and 3, we are waiting for you at our stand in I.C. Brătianu Park, during Timișoara City Celebration, to talk together about the city's industrial past and the people who were part of it.
The event is part of Design Signals, a long-term program initiated by FABER and curated by Martina Muzi, which explores the links between design, industry and technology, starting from Timisoara's changing industrial landscape. This year's edition is dedicated to the chemical industry, with the aim of understanding how we can create and collaborate differently, starting from local heritage and dialoguing directly with the communities involved.
Together we want to reconstruct a living map of the city's industrial memory - with the voices, gestures and traces of those who worked in the factories. Whether you bring us a photograph, an object or just a story told from memory, your contribution counts.
Let's rediscover together the history that shaped our city.
