Between the 16th and 18th of August, City Celebration brings together the creative minds in Timișoara and event organizers in a large-scale event highlighting the uniqueness of the Timișoara 2023 -European Capital of Culture community and the ambition of the city to be the host of major events.

The program offers the chance to explore more than 100 cultural, sporting and community events for all ages.

If in 2023 the event was a premiere in the area of Uszoda - Central Park and more than 60 other event venues in Timișoara, located on the banks of the Bega Canal, upstream and downstream, this year's City Celebration will activate, again in absolute premiere, a central location with an area of over 15,000 square metres in the central area of the city: Civic Park and I. C. Brătianu Avenue. The Bega River, upstream and downstream, remains an important trail of exploration and (re)discovery of the city, being the stage for a variety of events that unites the community through the water stream.

City Celebration, part of the legacy of the Timisoara 2023 Programme, is a platform-event funded by the Municipality of Timisoara, coordinated and organized by the Centre for Project of the Municipality of Timișoara. The first edition took place in the framework of the Timisoara 2023 - European Capital of Culture Program and brought together more than 80,000 spectators at over 100 events in the program.
